Long County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. Long County is part of the Hinesville, GA Metropolitan Statistical Area. ==Geography== According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of , of which is land and (0.9%) is water. The majority of Long County, roughly centered on Ludowici, is located in the Altamaha River sub-basin of the basin by the same name. The county's northeastern portion, east of Glennville and northwest of Walthourville, is located in the Canoochee River sub-basin of the Ogeechee River basin.
